Valley Girls Tuesday Night Book Club is about enjoyable reading for women who want to experience good books--period. Doesn't matter the author, genre or medium. In fact, I would encourage you to try different media when reading. Try a book on CD/tape every once and a while--as long as it's unabridged. Makes those car rides go a lot faster! I'm not a slave to having the author be a woman or it necessarily even about being 'women's issues' (whatever those are) but would like to pick interesti …

If you want a book club where we pick a book, have an outlined discussion and only talk about the book, this is not it! Most BOOK clubs are of the "You must read this specific book to hang out with us" variety. Our club, on the other hand, uses whichever title we've picked as more of a jumping-off point and we end up discussing a whole slew of different books, authors, and genres. Sometimes, the subject just goes into an off the wall place. You never know what we end up talking about or doing. T …

We are a very diverse group who gets together once a month to watch a film (somewhere in between a Hollywood Blockbuster and Indie Art House), then discuss it afterwards. We look for plot, theme, character development, screenwriting, cinematography, and use these things are starting points for discussion. If you enjoy watching movie …
We're a diverse group of guys bound together by our enjoyment of reading. We meet monthly on the second Sunday of every month, from 4 pm to whenever. Our group was started in January 2006 by a then-law student who was inspired by his wife's women's book club, and who thought he'd start one for the guys. We're a very diverse group in terms of age and background and identi …
